I am Connie Kuipers, a trained ADHD Coach.

I also have ADHD. I was diagnosed later in life, so I’ve lived the before and after of diagnosis, awareness and treatment.

I’m gratified that my clients have felt that my personal experience with ADHD provides a connection and understanding that is sometimes missing in their past experience with professional supports.

What is ADHD Coaching?

ADHD Coaching is a conversation with a purpose and a guide.

I bring my knowledge of ADHD to the coaching conversation to raise awareness of the realities of this neurotype, and how it impacts how you live your life in a world not designed for you.

Through empathetic, non-judgmental listening, new perspectives, and creative thinking, we come up with pathways to reach your goals and craft a life that works for you.

We look together at the resources and abilities you have or can develop and get them working for you, or build in the adaptations and supports that will have you thrive.

The coach shouldn’t impose their techniques or plans. Instead, the goals and plans are created by you, in the conversation. I provide written notes of the conversation, including any plans we design.

I also aim to be accessible between sessions because ADHD dilemmas don’t occur on a schedule. We need to be able to solve our current challenges, or move through an emotional bump in the road and not stay stuck between sessions.

  • “Connie has changed my life in so many ways. We first connected in the early days of my ADHD journey and she has since helped me navigate a very confusing and challenging time in my life. I was just about holding it all together, but confused as to why it was so hard - so many things I put down to character flaws was actually ADHD in disguise! After an initial consultation I took a leap of faith, decided to invest in myself and my mental health and booked time with Connie. For the first time in my life I finally felt heard and validated.

Connie truly listens and somehow manages to pull out the many threads of my disjointed thinking and guide me to look for my truth, for the answers I know deep down, but I’m too overwhelmed to see them. I look forward to our sessions, and leave them feeling like a new person. I feel lighter and capable of dealing with even the hardest of challenges I’m facing. I have made so much progress, not only in my home life and my career, but have even started to process a huge amount of childhood trauma. Connie has a gift and anyone that spends time talking with her will see that too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. Thank you Connie!”

  • “Connie listened in a way to give space for my thoughts and respect for my process. Her questions brought me to places I hadn't considered before and clarified what seemed complicated. She left me with a plan that was measured and realistic yet so darned exciting! She checked in to see how it was going and offered encouragement and support. Next time I have to make a tough decision, Connie will be my go-to!”

  • “I have had five coaching sessions with Connie, in each of these she has been fully present, listened deeply and asked great questions. I was interested in implementing a comprehensive planning, calendaring and note keeping process/system to help me stay on top of projects, make progress in things that seemed to be slipping through cracks, and, to redirect a lifelong habit of writing notes everywhere. I knew I needed support. Connie has helped me to stay on task, consider fresh ways of assessing progress, and created a safe container for my worries and celebrations. Her suggestions are often spot-on, and her excellent questions raise my awareness of what’s important to me, and help me find my answers. Our work together has made sticking to and adapting the system to my natural inclinations much easier and more enjoyable. I highly recommend Connie and her skills as a coach.”

  • Connie coaching my son has been a total game-changer. He has had a massive boost in self-confidence since working Connie. Connie has helped him understand how ADHD can show up in life. She's removed so much stigma around ADHD and helped him come to a profound understanding that there isn't something "wrong" with him. This has dramatically changed his attitude towards school. It's been a remarkable experience and it's only the beginning.
